GAME VIEWING/ACTIVITIES

Chobe's wildlife roams in abundance and diversity and is home to the largest concentration of elephant in Africa.  During the dry season, these herds, as well as large herds of buffalo, congregate along the fertile flood plains of the Chobe River. Magnificent sightings of lion, wild dog, puku, red lechwe, sable, giraffe and roan antelope are also frequent in the area. For the most complete game experience in the Chobe Area, a choice of land and water activities are offered from Chobe Game Lodge:

CHOBE NATIONAL PARK
A major feature of Chobe National Park is its overwhelmingly abundant elephant population. The Chobe elephant herds comprise part of what is probably the largest surviving continuous elephant population remaining on this planet. This population covers most of northern Botswana, the Caprivi region of Namibia, the upper Zambezi region of Zambia as well as north-western Zimbabwe.
The Chobe National Park, which is the second largest national park in Botswana and covers 10,566 square kilometers, and undisputedly boasts one of the greatest concentrations of game found on the African continent. Its uniqueness in the abundance of wildlife and the true African nature of the region, offers a safari experience of a lifetime.

AFRICA MEMORIES TIP:

Common visitors to Chobe Game Lodge are the Chobe Bushbuck that enjoy grazing around the lodge.  These beautiful animals are found only in Chobe and are certainly worth photographing or simply just watching and enjoying.
