LODGE

Camp Moremi is situated on the beautiful Xakanaxa Lagoon on the eastern edge of the permanent Okavango Delta, within the Moremi Wildlife Reserve. Here, where the life-giving waters of the Okavango meet up with the vast Kalahari, ancient Mopane forests, open grassland, seasonal floodplains and riverine habitats have formed, creating one of the most magnificent and welcoming animal sanctuaries in all of Africa. Shaded by giant ebony trees, the magnificent Moremi tree lodge is an elegant elevated thatch and timber structure. Camp Moremi accommodates only 22 guests in East African-style safari tents, individually situated on raised teak platforms with private adjacent facilities & viewing decks.

CLIMATE

The winter months of May to August can be very cold at night, but pleasantly warm, under clear blue skies, during the day.

From October until the first rains fall from late November to early December, the weather can be tremendously hot, during both day and night times.

MOREMI WILDLIFE RESERVE
Moremi Wildlife Reserve contains within its boundaries approximately twenty percent of the Okavango Delta. Moremi rates as one of the leading wildlife areas of the world. The mosaic of grasslands, floodplains, palm-tree islets, forests, lily lagoons and winding water channels combine to form a perfectly constructed puzzle, in which animals wander as they please. Moremi Game Reserve has no perimeter fences or man made boundaries which interfere with the free movement of the wildlife in the area. This is a true wilderness area and is kept pristine. There is no other true wildlife sanctuary as beautiful diverse and pristine as Moremi.
